Rebecca Saunders joined Fiona Pelham and her team at Sustainable Events Ltd and Positive Impact Events in early 2010.

As part of her role with Sustainable Events Ltd and Positive Impact, she provides education for the event industry to understand the importance of implementing BS8901 (starting point for future ISO 20121).  As a consultant she acts as a guide and takes companies though the process of implementing sustainability and the British Standard for Sustainable Event Management.  Her clients include, Manchester United Stadium, Coca-Cola, AVIVA Stadium, Manchester City Council, Melville, Zurich Insurance Events, GL events and the National Eisteddfod of Wales.  She has received training on the Phillips Methodology for Return on Investment in Events, assisted with writing the Sustainable Events Ltd’s first GRI report and has presented internationally on the subject of Event Sustainability. 
 
Rebecca’s work experience includes recruitment and managerial roles within the hospitality sector in Europe.  Rebecca worked as a Positive Impact volunteer prior to joining the team permanently.  Rebecca has completed a BA in Geography and a post-graduate diploma in Events Management and PR.  Rebecca’s expertise and experience in both sustainability and the event industry means she is ideally positioned to provide support on the implementation of sustainability within the event industry.
