Joseph Dolan is the independent owner and manager of the boutique 60 bedroom Bush Hotel in rural NW Ireland. This is the first Hotel in Ireland and the UK to achieve the European Ecolabel Award for Tourism Accommodation  recognising exceptional environmental management, performance and awareness. His Hotel was awarded the Georgina Campbell  Green Hotel Ireland Award 2010 Following this the Hotel was awarded the  Communication Award for Ecolabel Tourism Accommodations throughout  the European Union  for its innovative environmental awareness program. Environmental emphasis at the Bush Hotel is just part of its social corporate ethos with exceptional HR policies as the foundation stone : ‘Happy people making people happy’ .  Whilst Joseph’s management style may be unorthodox he and his Hotel have clearly differentiated themselves as champions in their field. His environmental   case study from the Bush Hotel, which is one of the oldest in Ireland,  clearly demonstrates the financial and marketing rewards and uplift in employee morale and customer satisfaction arising.

Joseph was educated at Galway University and later attained a PhD from Queens University Belfast and has worked in project management in Europe and the Middle East.   Joseph is involved many regional and national business and tourism organisations, advisory bodies  and consultancy.

He is currently National Vice President of the Irish Hotels Federation, a regional Director of the Irish Tourist Board and Chairperson of his County Tourism Association.
