Ibrahim Awad is a Chartered Professional Environmental Engineer with more than 17 years of environmental experience from Australia and the Middle East. Ibrahim has postgraduate qualifications in Environmental Engineering and Environmental Law. Ibrahim has worked as a Senior Adviser of Environmental Regulation and Compliance for New South Wales Government, and has also headed up environmental teams at Bovis Lend Lease and Hyder Consulting in the Middle East.
Ibrahim is currently the Managing Director of Seventh Sense Environmental Consultancy and Studies. Ibrahim and his team have been working to support prestigious Clients such as the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority and major hotels such as Emirates Palacein establishing and implementing world leading sustainable tourism initiatives, such as the Abu Dhabi Green Hotels Program.
Ibrahim has been a key player in the development and implementation of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Sector Environment, Health & Safety Management System (EHSMS), the Green Hotel Building Design Guidelines, the Green Hotel Workshops, and EHS trainings to more than 3500 representatives from the Abu Dhabi hotel industry.
